Last year, the Boy Scouts of America gave St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance 12,000 pounds of food. This year, they are looking to give more.
The Scouts will be going door-to-door on Saturday, Feb. 5th, picking up donations at residents that have received door hanger reminders... for their annual “Scouting for Food” event. They are looking non-perishable food items that can help out Arizona’s hungry. No glass or open containers, please.
Scouts will be stationed at Bashas stores around the Valley for other residents who would like to participate.
For those in the West Valley who might not received door hangers and won’t have pickups in their neighborhoods, St. Mary’s will have a special drop-off location at the Bashas in Surprise at 15367 West Waddell Road.
Check your doorstep for a hanger and bag, and your pantry for extra food, and help the Boy Scouts reach their goal.
