“SUPER CITRUS SATURDAY” GATHERS MORE THAN 61,000 POUNDS

ST. MARY’S FOOD BANK’S COLLECTS MORE THAN 61,000 POUNDS OF ORANGES AND GRAPEFRUITS TO TRIPLE LAST YEAR’S RESULTS
Our “Super Citrus Saturday” was a huge success yesterday. Thanks to everyone who gleaned and donated their produce for the hungry of Arizona.

Much of this fruit goes into emergency food boxes, while some is shared with Food Banks in 8 western states which in turn share their excess amounts of apples from Washington, bananas from California, potatoes from Idaho – with St. Mary’s for a balanced variety of all produce to be shared with those who need it.
