St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance would like to thank Ms. Codi’s class at the Phoenix Children’s Academy in Chandler for such a warm welcome on Tuesday, Aug. 16. Not only were the kids attentive and enthusiastic during the presentation, but already had a surprise waiting for Hunger 101 Education Manager Chet Provorse.
The kids collected nearly $100 during their summer camp session, putting spare change and dollar bills into a large jar for the one in four children who might go to be hungry in their community. They were very happy to know that their donation will allow the food bank to distribute enough food for almost 700 meals
